Volunteer Fire Department Feldkirchen near Graz

The voluntary fire brigade's equipment depot of Feldkirchen near Graz was extensively modernized and enlarged in several construction phases. A particular focus was on the addition of five new garages, which complement the building in an elegant L-shape. At the same time, the existing garage exits were relocated to the opposite side in order to meet the requirements of the expanded vehicle fleet.

This conversion was necessary to prepare the fire department for the increased requirements. In addition to looking after the southern highway, Graz Airport and the water fire department, the fire department is now also taking on the challenging task of the tunnel fire department in the Koralm Tunnel.

The result is an architectural highlight: the new building is impressive not only because of its size, but also because it is equipped with twelve SCHNEIDER AL603F Thermo glass Folding Doors made of aluminium. The large glass surfaces provide ample natural light in the hall during the day and perfectly showcase the fire brigade's vehicles at night.

Additionally, ten SCHNEIDER ISO40 sectional doors and one ISO60 Thermo sectional door were installed, providing excellent insulation and durability.
